The Interop Vendor Alliance (IVA) demonstrated the
interoperability of portal document management solutions in this
IVA lab. IVA members Meridio, Microsoft, Open Text, and Vorsite
demonstrated software tools that can help improve the efficiency of
your portals, connect data among different environments, and
protect sensitive information; these solutions work together to
make it possible for you to capture and manage valuable corporate
knowledge, share it efficiently, and archive it. Each tool builds
on the functionality of the others, providing you with an
integrated solution that can outperform any individual
solution.
Lab Scenarios
Records Management and Scalability with Meridio
5.0
In this lab, we demonstrated three scenarios that make use of the
interoperability of SharePoint and Meridio: Single-click movement
of documents to Meridio Records Repository with auto-capture of
metadata, user specification of the Meridio repository destination
in a situation where it may not be possible to automatically
determine where the record should be archived and the automatic
expiration of custom metadata content types to move information
from document to record form within Meridio, based on user- and
administration-defined metadata.
Seamless Archiving and Records Management
In this demonstration, we illustrated three scenarios that show how
Livelink ECM-SharePoint Server integration supports visibility into
the SharePoint Server as well as an integrated search functionality
and Open Text repositories, with actions that operate on the search
results.
Search and Content Connection
The Vorsite Transfer Agent technology is designed to make This
scenario demonstrated how the SchemaLogic Enterprise Suite can be
used to manage an enterprise wide metadata and business vocabulary
models across a mixed management systems. It allowed to define and
update the metadata model, and then publish it enterprise wide to
document repositories including Microsoft Sharepoint, ensuring
compliance.
